Tonight is the big opening of this year’s Fantasy Filmfest at the Cinemaxx at Potsdamer Platz. I know for a lot of people the Filmfest stands for b-movies, slasher films and bad horror flicks. So most assume that if you are not a genre fan this is not worth going to. But that’s not necessarily true. The Filmfest also features a handful of great thrillers and decent scary movies. To give you a little inspiration we made a list of 4 movies that we would like to recommend, including the festival highlight Transsiberian, an intense thriller with Emily Mortimer, Woody Harrelson and Ben Kingsley. More images, infos and trailers after the jump.

So, our first double-pack of Berlinstories is finished and online, but we still have one extra outfit and some making of photos from the photo shoot for you to see. This dress by S’nob was one of our favorites, but it didn’t really fit to the story. If you missed our two part story about the Rigaer Strasse, you can check them here and here. Also take a closer look at the heated cultural debate going on in the comment sections of both articles. More photos after the jump.

This weekend the notorious Bar 25 celebrates its 5th birthday. We don’t need to tell you that this is the place to be for the young and restless of Berlin, because that’s not really news. But what you might not know is that the Bar 25 is more than just the most celebrated outdoor club in town. It’s also a restaurant, a hostel, a spa, a movie theatre and a caterer. They also run a radio show that you can receive via iTunes and a record label. Read on for more images and insights.

Last week Absolut Vodka invited us onto the rooftop terrace of the Park Inn Hotel at Alexanderplatz to celebrate the opening of a very special place: A balcony in 125 meters height. The balcony is part of the campaign In An Absolute World that wants to show us how life in a perfect world could look like. Since the people from Berlin seem to like spending their holidays on their balcony, the Swedish vodka brand thought it would be nice to give them a balcony on a very unusual place with an extrodinary view over the city.
What we experienced over the rooftops of Berlin, together with Barbara Schöneberger, Klee and several bottles of vodka, right after the jump.

Most theater plays we write about are in German. But this one you can enjoy in/with every tongue. Leave Berlin behind you and dive into the depth of the giant old power plant of Vockerode. In the abyss of these impressive industrial grounds you will meet the Marquis de Sade, the famous and intriguingly appealing historical character. Find out more about this dance theatre production after the jump.

We always make sure we have a copy of the fabulous Style 100 Magazine lying around somewhere at our place because it just makes an apartment look so much cooler, don’t you think? Now we can even style up our bookmarks since they launched their very own online version at stylemag.net. And what is even more exciting: Stylemag.net already started bonding with iHeartBerlin.de, cause they did a little interview with me for their section Friends of Style. Clever!

Hombre, more
Street art has become an important part of the art scene here in Europe. When you take a look around you will notice mostly stencils, glued on illustrations and paintings. For some reason graffitis still have not been invited into the art scene, although they are somewhat the foundation of the whole street art movement.
The Intoxicated Demons gallery tries to change this with their new exhibition Addicted to Details, showcasing the work of German street artists DOME, Aro, Hombre and Biser. Read on for more images and details.

If nostalgia were a party it would certainly be called Boheme Sauvage. We were invited to join the famous and exclusive event and were more then impressed. At the Belvedere Palace in Potsdam we had the pleasure to enjoy a glamorous night out that couldn’t have been more unique. The Venetians would go green with envy. More impressions and a chance to win tickets for the next Boheme Sauvage night after the jump.
