Today, 17 years ago, Freddie Mercury died at the age of 45 only hours after he publicly confessed to have AIDS. Why do I know this? Well, I read it in The Beat Goes On – a calendar of dead musicians. Every day it lists all popular musicians and band members who died on that day and why. It’s quite interesting and keeps the memory of so many creative people alive that might otherwise be forgotten. Details after the jump.

You can get this calendar for only 13,95 EUR for example at Onkel&Onkel in Kreuzberg or order online here. We received a copy of the book for you guys, but instead of giving it out by comments we will put it into one of our iHeartBerlin.de Christmas stockings. More soon.
