Fashion Week Shows: Bernhard Willhelm

Bernhard Willhelm Fall/Winter 2009

I’m still totally psyched about the Bernhard Willhelm show we just saw tonight, so I can’t wait to post these pictures. I knew he would be doing something different for his first show at the Fashion Week here in Berlin, but I didn’t know what. After all the classic runway shows at Bebelplatz his extraordinary giant art exhibition show at Postbahnhof was really the kind of surprise we were hoping for. Sure, it is not everbody’s cup of tee. His designs really had a very sexual and gay sports fetish kind of appeal. And of course he could not resist to use some gay porn stars as models again, this time Dirk Jager and Logan McCree (aka Philipp Tanzer), if you’re interested. But walking through his colorful alpine wonderland with dinosaur skeletones, boats, Eiffel towers, and swings really was a lot of fun, and again there are some great colorful and bold sweaters that I really would love to call my own. See lots and lots and lots of pictures after the jump.
