Through the Looking Glass

While Heidi Klum did not even have the decency to mention the Berlin-based label Majaco when she had their dresses on her show we will not only mention them but also show you their brand new Fall 2009 collection Through The Looking Glass. The team of three young designers from Berlin isn’t even around for that long but already managed to be sold at the Galerie Lafayette which is quite the accomplishment. You can get Majaco at Berlinomat and Peccato in Friedrichshain, Berliner Klamotten at Hackische Höfe and Unit-F at Uhlandstraße. Or you visit their own flagship store at Zionskirchplatz in Prenzlauer Berg.

   Sieht ja nicht schlecht aus, aber ich seh da irgendwie nicht den Bezug zum Titel oder zum Roman.
   Allerdings wär schon interessant, wo diese Wurmloch-Wand steht…

   Um einen Sinnzusammenhang des Titel einer Kollektion mit den eigentlichen Entwürfen zu erkennen, bedarf es in manchen Fällen einfach etwas Fantasie. In diesem Falle ist das Offensichtlichste die Spirale, die ein bisschen an das Loch erinnert, in das Alice fällt. Bei der Kollektion an sich fällt mir da auch nicht direkt was ein. Aber ich glaub, da darf man nicht so streng sein. Soll vielleicht auch einfach nur ein schöner Titel sein.

   Zumindest bei mir hat der Titel ja als hervorragender Eyecatcher funktioniert.
   Das wird vielleicht auch der Sinn dahinter sein..
