Last night saw the grand opening of the Illustrative 2009 festival at the (gorgeous) Villa Elisabeth and the party in the old church next door. I was actually not planning on covering this at all as the persistent bombarding of press releases to this event annoyed the shit out of me. But the exhibition is actually kind of awesome and I did find some crazy folks at the party worth capturing. Was there a costume theme I didn’t know of or was everybody already dressed up for the Broken Hearts Club? See a glimpse of the exhibition and impressions of the party after la jump.
