Last Days is back!!!
After last month we’ve had so much fun at the Last days of Lindsay party we now focus on the tragic life of one of the first supermodels, Gia Carangi, who was known for her wildness, her unique style, her bisexuality and her ability to always look different in front of a camera!
Gia Marie Carangi (January 29, 1960 - November 18, 1986) was an American fashion model during the late 1970s and early 1980s. She is considered to be the first supermodel. Cindy Crawford was later referred to as “Baby Gia” due to her resemblance to Carangi. More Infos on the party and on Gia after the jump.
After Gia became addicted to heroin, Carangi’s modeling career rapidly declined. She later became infected with HIV and died at the age of only 26. Carangi is thought to be one of the first famous women to die of AIDS. Her death was not widely publicized and few people in the fashion industry knew of it.
In high school, Carangi bonded with “the Bowie kids” - a group of obsessive David Bowie fans, like herself. They emulated Bowie’s “defiantly weird, high-glam” style. Carangi was drawn to Bowie not only due to his fashion preferences but also due to his ambiguous gender play and outspoken bisexuality. A friend of Carangi’s described her “tomboy persona” and relaxed openness about her sexuality.

Ich hab verzweifelt jahre lang versucht mir den film mal auf dvd auszuleihen um die erinnerung aufzufrischen. der wurde allerdings nie als dvd veröffentlicht. zumindest nicht in dt. seltsam wenn man bedenkt das man nicht aller tage angelina jolie komplett nackt sehen kann….;-)

2. wer guckt sich bitte solch einen film in deutsch an?ist ja ungefähr wie den koran im vatikan lesen.
3. wird diese party jetzt veranstaltet weil sie die drogen exesse hatte, weil ihr zeigen wollt wie egal euch das leben ist oder weil sie ne krasse braut war?

Ach siehste nicht komplett nackt! Ich meinte ja ich hab den Film seit ich 16 war nicht mehr gesehen also eine gefühlte Ewigkeit!! Ich weiß nur die Szene wo sie sich in High Heels in so ner Fabrikhalle räkelt und ich noch ein konkretes BIld von ihrern Brüsten in meinem Kopf habe. Ich hätte mir den Film in Originalton angeschaut denn DVD haben diese wunderbare Funktion das man die Sprache wählen kann selbst wenn man sie in Deutschland ausleiht. Aber mal was ganz anderes. Wer spricht den Vatikan? Und auf welcher Volkshochschule kann ich diese Sprache lernen? Ich bin immer wieder nach der Suche nach neuen Erfahrungen…..
