The Korean Princess

To be perfectly honest, I didn’t exactly warm up with the local cuisine when i was visiting South Korea and I’m equally unimpressed with the food at the popular Yamyam. So when I received the invite to the opening of the new Korean restaurant Kimchi Princess sometime last year I was not exactly thrilled about it. Especially since Kimchi is a dish I don’t really care for at all. But for some reason I landed there after all the other day and to my big surprise it was really so delicious! Their specialty is Korean grill and we took the standard which is thin sliced meat. With 16-19 EUR per person it’s actually a bit pricy for Asian standards, but so worth it. We ate it all until the last bit, except for the Kimchi that came as a side dish… Details and more impressions of the stylish restaurant in Kreuzberg after the jump.

   Oh my… I love Korean BBQ but the price is really pretty high … (last time I have had a georgeous BBQ meal like that only paid about 4 € (drinks included)… though that was in sexy Beijing *sigh*)

   Seems like I have to save some money for my weekend dinner…

   das ambiente ist angenehm, jedoch finde ich das personal sowie das zubereitete essen überhaupt nicht gut. wenn ich punkte vergeben müsste, wären es 2 von 10!

   ich finde die zubereitung an den tischen,
   für die man dann natürlich mitbezahlt, unnötig.
   das wird auch der grund sein weshalb es bei kimchi etwas teurer ist als bei anderen koreanern. zumal man sagen muss, dass dabei nicht vielmehr passiert als das zwiebeln angebraten und dann eine marinierte fleischmischung (in meinem fall war es so) dazugegeben wird, was mir dann im endeffekt nicht mehr bringt, als dass meine kleidung danach riecht. ansonsten ist aber alles superlecker dort!
   einladen lass ich mich immer gerne dorthin )
