Karaleev – the secret star

Vladimir Karaleev’s show was the actual highlight of this season’s Fashion Week. At the Bebelplatz tent he showed his meanwhile tenth collection as well as a shoe collection for the first time. The audience, consisting of trendy twens and thirtysomethings, seemed more than willing to get up on a Saturday morning rushing to the show and there was definetely no disappointment. More after the jump:

With his puristic but very individual designs (open hems of course) Karaleev took a  good step forward to Berlin’s sometimes desperate aim of becoming more important in terms of international fashiondesign. It is that kind of unique design that is going to help Berlin reaching its goal. Also unique is designer Guido Maria Kretschmer who, at the end of his show drove on the runway in a Bmw. But Berlin itself  has a unique story to tell, Karaleev has told his-and it did not involve a Bmw – well done Mr Karaleev. In order to see an interview with the designer follow this link to our friends Les Mads.
