Another Week

Even though my computer broke and my iPhone got stolen (again!) I somehow survived this weekend of being disconnected and managed to put another event guide together for you this week. And once again it’s quite the colorful mix of parties, alternative movie screenings and exhibitions. The events after the jump.

Monday

Weekly Monday’s club night Cinéma with guest DJ Caro ( one half of Cache Cache Cache) and the best of pop, hip-hop and rnb with a splash of classics. Karl-Liebknecht-Str. 9, 22h.

Tuesday

Pre-event to the In-Edit music film festival with a screening of William S. Burroughs’ A Man Within followed by an after show party at HBC. Karl-Liebknecht-Str. 9, 19h.

Wednesday

Screening of La Grande Bouffe at Sameheads, Richardstr. 10, 20:30h.

Bruce La Bruce DJ set at Shade Inc. – Wednesday’s gay party at NBI, Schönhauser Allee 36. 23h.

Thursday

Berlin-based artist Freddy Reitz is known for her graffiti style pop art paintings and her break-through Berlin Series. She is opening her new exhibition Correspondant Art at LUMAS Gallery, Fasanenstr. 73, 19h.

The new solo exhibition by Sebastien Feraut a.k.a Niark1 called  The Hidden Side is opening at West Berlin Gallery, Brunnenstr. 56, 19h. A concert of Piper&Marias at 20:30h.

Friday

STUDIO is a participative photography project about experiments with fabric. You can register in having your picture taken in the gallery. You’re supposed to build temporary clothes of a piece of fabric, or even integrate it into the room. You can arrange for a photosession on Friday and Saturday between 13-18h or you can just show up from 18-22h on Friday or from 18-21h on Saturday and Sunday. The photos will be part of an exhibition in the end of April. All takes place at the Galerie Suvi Lehtinen at Novalisstr. 7. More infos here.

Tape Modern is going into its 20th edition with Destructionconstruction starting at 19h at Heidestr. 14 followed by an afterparty. That night many other galleries at Heidestr. will be open.

Saturday

Trendmafia market is taking place at Brunnenviertel (Brunnenstr. 64) on Saturday and Sunday starting at 13h.

Another Art, Dinner & Dance at Backyard (U-Bahnhof Prinzenstr.) this time with delicious Arabian food starting at 21h.
