This week in Berlin: The fight against the GEMA (almost as annoying as the GEZ…), Exberliners 10th anniversary party, a daring fashion collaboration with Bruce La Bruce, an unbelievable formidable fashion fair and many more exciting events, right after the jump.

Monday, Jun 25

Club and bar owners of Berlin have come together to fight agains the new price reform of the GEMA (an instition that regulates the rights of music) that is endangering the existence of all clubs of Berlin and nation-wide with unreasonable price raises. Get more infos on this here. If you want to support the cause you can sign the petition against the price changes. There is a demonstration with live music taking place at Schönhauser Allee corner of Sredzkistraße from 18-22h crashing the member meeting of the GEMA taking place right there.

The Temper Trap are playing live at Astra, Revalerstr. 99, 20h.

Tuesday, Jun 26

Culture Talk about Graffiti and Gentrification at Platoon Kunsthalle, Schönhauser Allee 9, 20h. Podium talk about the influence of elements of arts and culture such as street art in the process of gentrification.

Thursday, Jun 28

Today at 18h starts a brand new fashion fair at +33, Steinstr. 4 in Mitte, with fashion labels Ekolovesanimal, Mies Nobis, Myskin and Nico Sutor. Die Unglaubliche formidable Fair runs until Saturday 20h.

Online TV site Network Awesome is presenting the audio/visual event 120 Megabytes that includes the screening of their video show, live concerts and an installation of sounds and video projections by various artists. Takes place at Feed Soundspace, Hobrechtsraße 65, back house 4th floor, starts at 22h.

Exberliner have rescheduled their big 10th anniversary The X Party that was supposed to take place on June 3rd to June 29th, which is today, hurray! Bring your swim suits as this is a party at Badeschiff! Aerea Negrot from Hercules & Love Affair will perform live. Starts at 18h, Eichenstr. 4.

The Bourouina Gallery at Charlottenstraße 1-2 is opening a very interesting group exhibition titled Within All Possible Identities that features the work of fashion designer and artist Mads Dinesen, along with artists Mali Lazell, Frauke Schmidt, Andrea Splisgar and Björn Streeck. Starts at 18h.

The funny blog Notes of Berlin is celebrating therelease party of their first book Wellensittig entflogen, Farbe egal at the Artconnect Headquarters, Boddinstr. 62 at 18h.

Our fellow blogger Matthias won the bronze LEAD award for best weblog for his work on his art blog Castor und Pollux. He is now inviting everyone over to celebrate this honor at Kim Bar, Brunnenstr. 10, starting at 20h. Congrats!

Mädelsflohmarkt at Studio B, Spandauerstr. 2, from 12-18h.

Artist Enrico Nagel is opening his new solo exhibition Behind The Glass at Neonchocolate Gallery, Lychenerstr. 23, starting at 19h. The show runs until July 12th 2012.

Artstars.tv presents the preview party of a very interesting collaboration. Front Row Society teamed up with shock-artist Bruce La Bruce to produce a series of digital-printed scarves with very graphic images. The party takes place at Le Chat Gris, Linienstr. 40 at 22h. See flyers below for RSVP.

Kool Thing are celebrating their record release, previewing their new music video and playing live at Marie Antoinette, Holzmarktstr. 15-18, starting at 22h.

Step into an alternate reality of crazy characters, expressive outfits and overall madness. If you enjoy the sight of naked skinny hipster boys you should have a look at the exhibtion Der Kleine Prinz by young photographer Joseph Wolfgang Ohlert. He opens his exhibition at The CLUB, Biebrichstr. 14, at 19h.
