Alanis Morissette’s Guardian Video shot in Berlin

alanis morissette guardian

I’ve been a fan of Alanis Morissette since I was a teenager. I must admit her music has changed quite a bit since her early albums and become more polished than I would prefer it to be. But still I love her concerts and I was so sad that I just missed the one she had in Berlin two weeks ago.

Today the video to her new single Guardian came out that was shot here in Berlin. She’s referencing Wim WendersWings of Desire movie from 1987 (Himmel über Berlin) that was also shot here. It’s no surprise she would get this idea as she wrote the famous title song Uninvited for the American remake City of Angels from ’98. On August 24th 2012 Alanis’ new album Havoc And Bright Lights will come out. Enjoy the Guardian video after the jump.

In case Youtube takes it down, go to MyVideo.

This is horrible. Soundtrack to being a stay at home mom.

not too psyched about this particular song either to be perfectly honest. I tried to get into it, but it’s just too compliant for my taste. let’s hope the album has a bit more edge.

It’s the cheesiest thing I’ve ever seen and heard. And does it really take SO MANY guitars to play this song? You can barely hear them ^^ 8 Easy Steps was hard rock compared to this.

I didn´t know that AM is still doing music. Haven´t heard from her for a long long time. I don´t really like the new song, but I like the “quotes” to Wim Wenders.
