While I will be on a luxurious trip with my travelholic friend Katja in Kitzbühel this week you will have the city all to yourself. And so you don’t get bored there are once again tons of interesting events and parties going on. Check out our recommendations after the jump.

Monday, December 3

20:30h – St. Catherine Charity Fashion Show – ESMOD Graduates show their most daring designs in the name of charity. Takes place at Nikolaisaal, Wilhelm-Staab-Str. 10-11, Potsdam (near Berlin). Doors open at 19:30h, show starts at 20:30h. Donation of 15 EUR for the benefit of the women’s charity Frauenzentrum Potsdam e.V.

21:30h – Virtual Realities Film Week – Every day of this week at 21:30h the Virtual Realities Film Week will screen a part of their program at Kino Central, Rosenthaler Str. 39.

Tuesday, December 4

18:00h – Nach dem Nebel – Schröter Contemporary gallery is opening the solo show of paintings by Lee D. Böhm at Kollwitzstr. 74. The exhibition runs until 1st of January 2013.

20:00h – Kreuzberg Kalender Movie Night – As the second live event of the Kreuzberg Kalender our movie girl Lia invites you to the Moviemento Kino at Kottbusser Damm 22 for a Sneak Preview screening of Shut Up And Play The Hits – a documentary about the final tour of LCD Soundsystem.

Wednesday, December 5

18:00h – Food Party – Marc-Alan Gray and Saskia Hahn invite to a pop-up dining event at Stattbar, Stattbad Wedding, Gerichtstr. 65.

Thursday, December 6

19:00h – Matka – VAGE opens this new one-week-exhibition with installations and illustrations by Ryan McGennisken and Hollie M Kelley at The WYE, Skalitzerstr. 86. Open daily from 12-18h from Dec 6-12, 2012.

19:00h – Blows to the Temple – Atelierhof Kreuzberg at Schleiermacherstraße 31-37 is opening the exhibition by the autumn residents at Node Center for Curatorial Studies. It will be open until December 9th 2012.

19:00h – Ad Hoc – Artconnect Berlin opens the new solo show by calligraphy designer Otto Baum at Boddinstr. 62. Exhibition open Dec 7-13th 2012 from 12-18h.

21:00h – Helsinki Cabaret – Cabaret show from Finland at the Little Stage, Jonasstr. 1. Also playing on Saturday.

22:00h – Spank The Monkey – Gay night at King Size hosted by Bronson. Friedrichstr. 112b.

22:00h – Taint – New party with Manhooker, Alexander Geist and Godmother live and DJs Dickey Doo and Experimental Housewife. Turbine, Glogauerstr. 2.

Friday, December 7

19:00h – Skin No. 1 – Avant-garde boutique Oukan at Kronenstr. 71 in Mitte is presenting their new event series Skin with a curated selection of design and art objects.

19:00h – Meeting Havana Culture – The Freies Museum Berlin at Potsdamer Strasse 91 is opening their group exhibition with artists from Cuba. Enjoy live Cuban music and drinks.

20:00h – Digital Fragments – Opening of the installation by Stefanie Greimel at Platoon Kunsthalle, Schönhauser Allee 9.

Saturday, December 8

13:00h – Voodoo Market – Big market with designer clothes, accessories, vintage, art, handcrafted goods, gifts, food and much more at +-0, Straße der Pariser Kommune 8.

13:00h – Designer Xmas Market – New designer and vintage clothes at the small market at the CLUB, Biebricherstr. 14. Open on Saturday and Sunday from 13-20h.

19:00h – Mephisto & Faust – Berlin Film Society and Kiez Oper present a special event that combines a screening of the movie Mephisto (1981) and live performances from the opera Faust, followed by an after party. Gretchen, Obentrautstr. 19-21.

23:00h – About Time – One year anniversary party at Backyard, Gitschiner Str. 22.

23:00h – Sameheads & Ocvlto Party – Big Sameheads party in collaboration with Ocvlto and Noisekölln-No Fear of Pop at +-0, Straße der Pariser Kommune 8.

23:00h – Crystal Castles Aftershow Party – DJ set of the band at the Flamingo, Kleine Präsidentenstr. 4a.
