Cinéma de Mode: Der Katalog

Today’s Cinéma de Mode features the spectacular new fashion film Der Katalog by Aviv Kosloff for Berlin-based designer Julia Heuse, former female half of the label JULIAANDBEN. The film is part of the exhibition Outer Dark – Continuing after Fashion on display at the Museum of Applied Arts in Frankfurt and showcases Julia Heuse’s latest Autumn/Winter 2013/14 collection Object Trouvé. The collection draws inspiration from changing surfaces, fades and structures, resulting in a combination of dip dye techniques and abstract digital prints, which perfectly reflects the label’s conceptual and urban style. Der Katalog itself is a visual journey challenging conventionality and questioning fashion through images in motion and collage material in an “inspirational laboratory”. Enjoy the stunning film and some behind the scenes photos from the shooting after the jump.
