Vegan subcultures have been spreading like wildfire in Berlin, and Sophia (journalist, food blogger and vegan extraordinaire) is here to show us the ropes. Her creative and colorful recipes are inspiring, and her passion for food is infectious. Since 2011, Sophia Hoffmann has been sharing her own delicious and innovative recipes on her blog assuring the world that animal products are not needed to create beautiful, delicious and nutritious meals. If you thought veganism couldn’t be fun, healthy and enjoyable as a lifestyle, think again. Sophia is here to bring light to vegan living with her themed vegan dinners, restaurant recommendations and the launch of her exciting new cookbook. Learn more about this quirky lady and let her spruce up your vegan experience in Berlin with events and ideas after the jump.

2014 saw the launch of Sophia’s first very own cookbook, Sophias vegane Welt. Open her book and you will find yourself inside her creative and playful world, where she shares her own elegant, refined recipes and vegan cuisine philosophy. In Sophias vegane Welt, she serves up more than 50 recipes to combat culinary mundanity. Totally suitable for vegans and non-vegans alike, her cookbook makes vegan-cooking fun and accessible, with lovingly designed illustrations as colorful as she is. She has also introduced two adorably playful aprons made with fair-trade organic cotton, complete with veggies in a food pyramid and veggies on the run. In 2016 she followed with a second book titled Vegan Queens (order here) which you can read more about in our interview.
