Do you want to go to Lollapalooza with us?

Lolla is back! After half of Berlin celebrated inside the green forests of Treptower Park last year, the Lollapalooza festival is once again unfolding in the green, but this year in a new location: The Hoppegarten racecourse. On the 9th and 10th of September it’s time again, to sing, dance and enjoy music.

As we loved the experience so much last year, Lolla’s official partner Absolut invited us once more to be a part of the third Lolla Berlin experience. Only a S-Bahn ride away from the city center we can easily enjoy our beloved shower at home and sleep in our cozy beds at night. And isn’t that essentially what makes city festivals so great? Admittedly, the amazing line up this year does also play a crucial part. We seriously can’t wait to go all Lolla and are giving away tickets to you guys!

What’s amazing about Lollapalooza is that it does not only happen in Berlin. Actually, Berlin is only the latest edition to multiple Lolla Festivals all around the globe that started off 28 years ago  in Chicago – Chile, Brazil and Argentina joined a few years later. Different continents, countries and cultures united in their love for music that’s a simple but amazing message! Since 2015 Berliners can take part and enjoy live performances from various international artists at Europe’s first edition of Lollapalooza. The festival has already brought well-known performers such as Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Muse, James Blake, Major Lazer or Radiohead to the German capital. And this year, we’re super excited about acts like The XX, the FooFighters, London Grammar, Roosevelt, Metronomy or Goerge Ezra.

Absolut has been part of the Berlin Lollapalooza joyride from the start and will once again bring their joyful spirit and delicious cocktails to the festival grounds. They will again have their own area inside Lolla’s Fun Fair – you won’t be able to miss it as there will be a gigantic bottle-shaped gate that has a viewing platform on top of it. As a bit of a call-back to their Midsommar Weekender in Sweden that we visited back in June they will also offer some DIY flower crown action – a tradition that originates from the Midsommar but has long been imported by the festival scene. Just like last year there will also be another new signature drink especially created for the festival: the Absolut Lolla – this time a fruity wild berry whirlwind.

In addition to their activities on the festival grounds they will also for the first time host their own Absolut Lolla after party at Prince Charles on Saturday night after the concerts. So you won’t have to go to sleep after all the excitement but can continue to celebrate late into the night.

Lollapalooza is not limited to their amazing music selection, it’s also a lively, fun and colorful place where people can come together, meet new faces and participate in various activities. At “Art at the Park” Lollapalooza opens up a festival gallery where artists exhibit their work created under the festival motto “All Nations Under One Roof”. The Kidzapalooza makes Lolla a fun place for the whole family no matter what age. “Der Grüne Kiez” raises awareness about sustainability, tolerance and solidarity, their motto: “Love & Peace 2.0”, true to the Berlin spirit. And just like last year, Absolut opens their doors to the “Lolla Fun Fair” a big playground to hang out in and goof around between installations and vintage circus tents.

If you wanna be a part of it, you can win a pair of tickets for the upcoming Lollapalooza festival thanks to our sponsor Absolut. Just comment below why you wanna go to the festival until August 26, 2017 and maybe we will see in September at Hoppegarten. Good luck!

Thanks for the support by our sponsor Absolut!
