Jägermeister Wirtshaustour Berlin 2012 Photos

Jägermeister Wirtshaustour 2012

On Friday the Jägermeister Wirtshaustour made a stop in Berlin at the new club Loftus Hall with live gigs by Eskimo Callboy and Tek-One as well as a crazy DJ set by Dumme Jungs. The night started all social and cosy in the “Wirtshaus” lounge with Jägi drinks, card games, jenga and kicker. The first live act Eskimo Callboy then turned all the cosiness into a storm with their hefty harcore electro. I went to the front for a bit to take photos but quickly had to retreat in fear for my camera and my health, as these crazy kids were going wild. The second concert of Tek-One was equally powerful with their massive dubstep sounds. The air was practically on fire! Enjoy our animated impressions on 2 pages after the click!

Last year the Jägermeister Wirtshaustour rocked several cities in Germany with great acts such as Peaches, Who Made Who, We have Band, Totally Enormous Extint Dinosaurs and many more. This month the deer Jägis are back with a new tour. The first set of events will kick off next week on March 29 in Hamburg, going on to Berlin on March 30 and Dresden on March 31, 2012. For this tour they have put together a dubstep-electro line-up including Tek-One, Eskimo Callboy and Dumme Jungs. The Berlin electro party crowd will for sure enjoy this line-up!

What makes the Jägermeister Wirtshaustour so special is not only the choice of music acts but also the unique atmosphere that is created with love in the old pubs and clubs the concerts are taking place in. Experience the original “Wirtshaus” feeling with traditional pub decor, pool, darts and ping-pong. And not to forget, there’s gonna be a lot of Jägi! Fuck Art, Let’s have a Jägi

On Friday night the Jägi dears took over the Edelweiß at Görlitzer Park and transformed it into a cosy rustic Wirtshaus with original German pub charm. The awesome concert of Fuck Art, Let’s Dance took place upstairs and you could see the ceiling bend and chandelier shake from underneath, crazy! Hunting Jägermeisters

Foto: Sebastian Gabsch

I always had an interest in the folklore elements of German culture. In a way I have the feeling to observe an exotic and foreign place when entering typical German locations like a Wirtshaus. I can in a way understand the Japanese who rebuild these Wirtshäuser detail by detail in their own country to experience this special wirtshaus-feeling. A non-traditional party in this very traditional location was organised by German cult liqueur Jägermeister last week. On the beat oft the songs of We have a Band and the remix of Yuksek, we started the weekend early and immerged in a crowd of partythirsty Berliners. More pictures and the next date of the tour through German Wirtshäuser by Jägermeister after the jump.

Jägis Gone Wild: Win Tickets for the Hubertusfest

Jägis Gone Wild: Win Tickets for the Hubertusfest

Wolfenbütteler Festspiele

Everyones favorite traditional German digestif Jägermeister is bringing their successful music program, the Wolfenbütteler Festspiele, to Berlin with the 4-day music festival Hubertusfest. From November 3-6 they are bringing established German bands such as Booka Shade, Jennifer Rostock, Kid Simius, Schluck den Druck and Romano together with newcomers such as Tüsn, Cosby and Chefboss to the stage at the Spreewerkstätten. Looking back at the many Jägermeister Wirtshaus Tour and Wolfenbütteler Festspiele events they have done in the past I can pretty much guarantee you that it’s going to be one hell of a blast.

One thing that makes this festival not only fun but also genuine is the support that the younger bands will receive through it. There is going to be three public nights with concerts. The first one is the Newcomer night that is free of entry. The second and third public nights will feature the more famous bands and ticket sales of these will actually co-finance the next music videos of the newcomer bands. We salute the spirit behind this, the older ones supporting the young. Cheers to that with a Jägi! After the jump you can find out more about the line-up and win tickets for the almost sold-out events!

The Lovely Week

We Have Band

What a lovely way to start the week with the day of love: Valentine’s Day and a very special party for that occasion. Of course the city is being dominated with all the events of Berlinale. But honestly, I couldn’t be arsed going any deeper into this. Just like Fashion Week it is just too much and for some reason I prefer to let this mega event pass me by. For all the other sweet little events look after the jump!
