Intoxicated Demons, one of our favorite galleries for urban art, are celebrating their return from the summer break with a new group exhibition at a temporary location at Helmholtzplatz starting tomorrow. They will present a mix of all their favorite artists, so it’s going to be a colorful affair. Note that this one is only open for 3 days. Infos after the jump.

Those were the best days of my life… Ok, party folks, this is the end of the summer, why not breaking new ground and going outside during daytime, otherwise you’ll kick yourself for not having seen the sun at least once this summer. What looks like a dramatic vision of the consequences of the Swine Flu was actually created way before this whole desease became so popular. It’s the work of Danish street artist Armsrock who will open his first solo show in Berlin at Intoxicated Demons Gallery this coming Saturday. More of his art and details after the jump.

The Postman is here! was their most successful exhibition last year, that’s why the Intoxicated Demons Gallery decided to put artists Aro, Morten Andersen and Michael Hyp together again into one big group show. The return of the mail man will also feature Angry Woebots from Hawai with some seriously furious pandas. The exhibitions opens this Friday. More images and details after the jump.

It’s getting quirky again at the Intoxicated Demons Gallery in Kreuzberg. German newcomer Andreas Pistner is showing his creature mountains in Character Landscapes. What makes those illustrations special is the antique printing technique from the 18th century that he uses to bring his creations on paper.
In the back of the gallery you will find access to the secret gallery in the staircase where Canadian artist Stefan Thompson showcases his Ecofriendly drawings. More images and details after the jump.

On the following two weekends the Intoxicated Demons gallery will exhibit the collaborative work of fashion brand Carhartt and multi talent artist Sozyone Gonzalez from Belgium. The exhibition will showcase the 6 canvases the artist created for Carhartt’s spring 2008 campaign, as well as paintings and drawings documenting the developement of the main artworks. A while back I was contacted by an agency from Paris called Balistik*Art. They were working an a series of short films shot in major cities in Europe to be published on a website for a new luxury car by Renault. They were looking for 3 male bloggers in each city who would write about pure pleasure in their city. I was one of the bloggers for Berlin, along with the guys from Crow’n'Crow and BerlinDesignBlog. My topic was art, you can read the text in a previous post. The shooting took place back in July and I met up with the crew at the Intoxicated Demons gallery in Kreuzberg, where some scenes of the film were filmed. A funny coincedent that occured: On of the first pieces of artwork shown in the film is by the artist Laguna, which is also the name of the car by Renault. Also it was my instant favorit of the exhibition that was shown at the time. The filming also took place at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien and at the SOX gallery window (photo).
