I always liked cemeteries. Don’t get me wrong. I have never been into Gothic, and I always hated Patchouli. But I just like cemeteries for the romantic, beautiful and quite atmosphere. Every time I go to Paris I visit the Père Lachaise. Not only to pay my respect to Jim, but also to see all the other beautiful graves. However, you don’t have to go to Paris to see romantic mausoleums or melancholic angels. Berlin has some remarkable cemeteries as well. More ofter the jump.

There are probably many vintage hunters and antique specialists among our readers who are able to hunt down the best bargains and the most special objects in any normal fleamarket. But some of you are perhaps also fed up from all the fleamarket culture and want to go to some special shop for once in a while. To get a real interior inspiration I think Friedrichslust can give you as much pleasure as the Wunderkammer in Kreuzberg can. The little shop hidden in a backyard near White Trash has so many special items and furniture that you might not be able to shop anything in the end. Because you just don’t want to take anything away from this magical shop. The cherry on top of it are the sculptures of pan called forest gods. They seem like mystical guards of this wonderful place. Do you know any other cool and mystical interior shops in Berlin? Tell us in the comments! Enjoy more pictures , the address and the opening times after the jump.

Das Hotel is a small charming bar and club in Kreuzberg close to Paul-Linke-Ufer. I particularily like this place for its rustic charme, the nice non-pretentious mixed crowd that comes here and the big bouquets of lilies normally spread out all over the place. Wednesday to Saturday they open their basement club that offers a mixed program of live music and parties. Dispite its name Das Hotel is not a hotel, however they do rent out charming private flats and rooms. More infos and pictures after the jump.

“Wunderkammer” (chamber of wonders) is the name of a new shop in Kreuzberg, and this name could not have been chosen more adequately. As soon as you enter it, you somehow enter another world: a world that is full of magic and wonder. Find out more about this treasure chest after the jump.

It’s a bit like a wife swap what we have been doing, only that we are swapping our Kiezes. Last week Claudio showed you how he invited his Mitte girls over to his neighborhood in Friedrichshain. And this week I’ll show you the tour I did at the same day with my Friedrichshain friends over here in Mitte. On my tour through my district Mitte I have decided to go to the places that I personally frequent the most. This includes my favorite cafe for breakfast, the park that I hang out a lot in the summer, the restaurants I love to eat at and the contemporary art galleries that I like to visit.
It was a most pleasant experience to do all these things on one sunny day and share them with dear friends. It was interesting to see through their eyes what has become so familiar to me. At the end of the day we met up with Claudio and his friends to have dinner together and go for drinks to celebrate our little tours.
To make it possible for you to follow us on our tour through Mitte I recorded all of our steps with details, comments and photos on the Amble with Louis Vuitton iPhone App. Have a look at the photo gallery after the jump to be inspired. Download the Amble App to take our iHeartBerlin Mitte tour or record your own Amble.

What do we love about our city? What makes us wander around in search for adventure, fun, love or even happiness? Is it the expectation that we share with others about a better living? Is it the sparkle of unexpected beauty that we see through the cracks of the walls and the dirt on the street. When I arrived and settled in Berlin- Friedrichshain seven years ago it felt like coming home from a long journey. And this feeling never left my side.
One of the most amazing experience I made a couple of weeks ago when I had the chance to share all my favourite places in my neighborhood with my a slightly snobby, but very lovely Mitte-friends. And seeing my home kiez through their eye’s made me even prouder of where and how I live. We passed by all my favourite spots and documented it with the iPhone for the new Amble with Louis Vuitton App.
With Amble it is easily possible to create urban tours and share it with your friends. You can also follow the footsteps of other Amblers like Sofia Coppola, Anna de la Russo, Rachel Weisz and many more. After the jump you can see the lovely tour we made through Friedrichshain. Download the Amble with Louis Vuitton App to follow our tour or create your own Amble.

When you think of baked potatoes you probably think of aluminum foile and creme fraiche. Bixels at Mulackstrasse in Mitte will serve you way more then that. Their amazing potatoes are baked in an old iron oven and topped with all sorts of vegetables, different types of meat and herbs. At our recent visit we tried them with spicy chicken and Argentinian beef and they were absolutely delicious! Have a look at some more impressions of the small restaurants and the details after the jump.
