Welcome to our late party summer guide for the October weekend! I keep telling Australian people who recently moved to Berlin about the horrible winter and they don’t belive me – how would they. Enjoy the sun before diving into the deep world of Berlin winter clubbing. Until then, a selection of this weekend’s parties – but you might just skip them all and spend the weekend at some lake…joke! Parties after the jump:

The Last Days of Puff Daddy party last Saturday has been a late summer fun with unbelievably sweet girls wildly dancing on Backyard‘s toilet and steamy making outs on the dancefloor. Jumping djs, breakdancing people and more to be seen on the pics after the jump:

Berlin-based designer Sabrina Dehoff always has the nicest little offsite events during Berlin Fashion Week. I remember quite a few parties and cocktail receptions taking place in showrooms or in front of her shop and it’s a shame we actually never got around reviewing it here properly. But now we have a wonderful occasion to make up for the lack of coverage. We got our hands on one precious Sabrina Dehoff bracelet that we would like to raffle off to you girls. Some impressions of her beautiful flagship store, the bracelet and how you can win it – after the jump.

I have more passion for illustrated and sophisticated street art then for graffiti or more simple symbolic pieces from the likes of Banksy & co. One artist I have observed for a while now is ROA. He magically turns animals inside out. In a brutal yet aesthetic kind of way. To see some of his work you can visit the Skalitzers Contemporary Art Gallery. Their current exhibition is an annual showcase, that includes the work of ROA, as well as some other gallery artists. More pictures of the exhibition and all the information you need after the jump.

Did you know that Ghandi thought that sexual abstinence would preserve India from getting separated in several parts? In fact he even tempted himself by sleeping in the same bed with young female virgins without having sex or even body contact. Not so chaste is the new lookbook from German fashion label Herr von Eden by Daniel Josefsohn. I really like the British Dandy fantasy mixed with Boolywood taken to an absurd extreme point. And if you are not afraid of dicks you should’t miss the little clip that you’ll find after the jump along with all the pictures.

Some things are so highly anticipated that the excitement has already vanished by the time it finally arrives. That was also the case for Kater Holzig which is one of the new kids from the Bar 25 staff. When it was finally opening I wasn’t as excited as I thought I would be. But when I finally entered I realized that the long waiting paid off. The new terrain of pleasure looks amazing! I already have fantasies of how it will be when the initial hype is over and the fun stuff will beginn. So far I only had the chance to check out their Katerschmaus. After the jump you’ll find my review of the Kater Holzig restaurant.

An other delight from the world of Vintage is the designer vintage boutique Garments. Not only do they have incredibly well kept clothes! Their division in the different moods, colours and styles really helps to shop the right special piece of vintage you always dreamed of but never dared to buy! More impressions and the address after the jump.

The unusual name of this restaurant based in the South of Kreuzberg roughly translates to “girl without highschool degree”. What does that have to do with anything, you might wonder! Nothing really, but it surely is a name you won’t forget so easily. Stepping into this place reminded me a bit of the appartment of our friend Julia who is a big fan of the color red, black and white Audrey Hepburn photos and kitchy little vintage goodies.
The food on the other hand is not kitchy at all. Here you will find traditional German dishes such as Königsberger Klopse and fried liver with apple and onions, mixed with a few international dishes. What I was most delighted with was the Laugengebäck that we got as a starter. The best starter bread I ever had. For some impressions of the restaurant and the food look after the jump.

A few weeks ago the brand new Gestalten Space celebrated its grand opening at the Sophie-Gips-Höfe in Mitte right across from Barcomi’s Deli. The gorgeous space is far more then just a book shop. In the store you can buy not only the beautiful books of Berlin’s coolest publish house Gestalten but also household accessories and designer toys. The space is also home to a coffee bar and a big exhibition space that will be used for the artists that are published by Gestalten. Find photos and a video of the opening party over at the Gestalten Space Tumblr. Look after the jump for more details and impressions.

A new little store is opening on Saturday in the Bermuda triangle of Berlin fashion: Gormanstrasse, Münzstrasse and Steinstrasse. But for sure this shop is not there to impress with the newest designer stuff. XVII – dix-sept is a personal, unconventional fairy tale vintage closet presenting a delicate and constantly changing vintage collection alongside desired beautiful things keeping up the dialogue between style and attitude. Selected treasures from the 60′s to the 90′s with favoured items are presented in one place. More informations and the flyer of this vintage opening after the jump. Read on – Weiterlesen »
