Prenzlauer Berg

…but this one – I have to admit – I really like. It’s small and cosy, the drinks are good and cheap, and the interior is done with a lot of love for details. It’s made by the same people that do the famous 8mm at Schönhauser and it goes by the name NEU Bar. The details after the jump.

I’m not entirly sure if a wooden notebook case is all that practical, but it sure as hell looks good! This wonderful design object is a product of Berlin-based interior and furniture designer Rainer Spehl who will open his new exhibition tomorrow at the A.D.Deertz shop at Kastanienallee as a part of the DMY Shop Day. Spehl has not only furnished this store but also other Berlin places like the well known boutiques Akif and Konk. You might also have stumbled across his benches and tables down the U-Bahnhof Alexanderplatz. More photos of his work and details about the exhibition after the jump.

Berlin locations are sometimes so cool that they don’t even care if there is a second thing in the city called the same way. So there is a club in Mitte called Rodeo Club, and there is also a mysterious dinner location in Prenzlauer Berg with the same name. And since I am more into secrets I would like to take a closer look at the latter after the jump.

While Heidi Klum did not even have the decency to mention the Berlin-based label Majaco when she had their dresses on her show we will not only mention them but also show you their brand new Fall 2009 collection Through The Looking Glass. The team of three young designers from Berlin isn’t even around for that long but already managed to be sold at the Galerie Lafayette which is quite the accomplishment. For more photos from the collection and more places to buy follow the white rabbit.

The Temporary Showroom in Prenzlauer Berg is more than the name might indicate. The small place at Kastanienallee is home to an agency, a shop and a showroom, all aimed at the fine avant garde fashion market. So this place is equally interesting for consumers, retailers and designers. During the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week they will showcase the fall/winter 2009/10 collections of the labels ADD, Odeur, Pudel and Lapaporter. A preview and details after the jump.

Van Dale
With shops like Styleserver, Gallery and Cyreline the Oderberger Strasse neighborhood is really blooming these days. But the Kastanienallee has also a new address to offer that we think is worth checking out. Flex has some rare designers and labels in store that you will hardly come across elsewhere, including Van Dale, Gitte Wetter and Wear It For The Boy from Denmark, and Modern Amusement from New York. A full list of labels and details after the jump.

You know the problem. Your dear parents gave you this “nice” cardigan for Christmas with such good intentions, but not so much style. So, you can either bury all those frumpy sweaters and ugly stockings deep in your closet, or get your hands on those receipts, return them and get something nice instead. For example at the brand new Styleserver store at Oderberger Strasse in Prenzlauer Berg. Following the success of their online shop they decided to bring their good taste onto the streets and opened their own store with labels such as POP Cph, Tofu, Minimarket, Realitystudio, Esther Perbandt and Julia & Ben. More infos after the jump.

The second package of the iHeartBerlin.de Christmas Special is sponsored by Flagship Store at Oderberger Strasse. When shopping for fashion it is so often the case that the most interesting pieces are the least affordable ones. That’s why we added two items into this package that will bring expensive fashion finds a little closer to you, both in very different ways. Hence the name “Style Package”. And there is also something in it to schedule your shopping trips. Click after the jump to win.
UPDATE: The lottery for this package has ended. The winner was notified.
