The Party Christmas Package

iHeartBerlin.de Christmas Special

The first package of our iHeartBerlin.de Christmas Special is brought to you by Silberfischer, the Berlin-based fashion label and shop specialized in cross-stitching. We gave it the title “Party Package” because it contains some items related to Berlin’s nightlife, as well as something for your apartment and something that will come in handy next month. Care to win this? Look after the jump.

The Flagship of Kastanienallee

Flagship Store Berlin

Years ago the Flagship Store was the first shop that made the whole Kastenienallee area worth going to for us. Since then a lot of fashion boutiques have settled down in this neighborhood. But the Flagship Store has managed to maintain a very unique character with their selection of young Berlin-based, national and Scandinavian designers. Froks, Hazelnut, Ansoho, Stylein, Slowmo and Butterflysoulfire are only a few of the featured labels. Find out more after the jump.

A T-Shirt a day…

Le Gang

…keeps the doctor away! This phrase jumped into my eyes when I passed by the Pappelallee in Prenzlauer Berg. It was attached to the window of the street wear shop Le Gang. I must say that I am not the biggest fan of street wear but this little shop has more to offer than t-shirts because it’s also a gallery. What I liked most were the robot toys. But if you are into urban wear I am sure that there will be some t –shirts keeping you healthy. More pictures after the jump.

What’s Behind the Blinds?

Jalousie by Daniel Schrader

Sun-blinds are the aesthetical faux pas of the 20th century. Vanished from our living rooms they became nostalgic artefacts reminding us of our childhood. If you could wear them like a dress they would become vintage in 50 years, like the fringe dresses of the Twenties are now. For the theater fans amongst you who can understand German we invite you to the premier of the play “Jalousie” at Ballhaus Ost. Read on in German to learn more.

How Are You?

 Kauf Dich Glücklich

If you are into retro-kitsch and lemonade you should have a seat at Kauf Dich Gluecklich. In this cosy cafe at Oderbergerstraße you can have your drink with a waffle or icecream on somebody’s grandma’s sofa and enjoy the kitschy atmosphere of this cute place. At the bar you can buy all sorts of vintage toys and accessories. Expecially in the summer this is a great place to hang out on a lazy afternoon. Read on for more images and details.

We FOUND a new shop…

Found Berlin

… and coincedently its name is FOUND. And that is also the concept behind it. It features all kinds of products that the store owner has found all over the world. At the moment you will find mostly kitchen, bedroom and bathroom accessories in pure white and blood red. But this will change over time depending on what the store owner will find. All of the unbranded items have the quality of designer brands, but for a reasonable price. The style is mostly very puristic and minimalistic. The focus is on colors and structures, not on prints and decoration. See more impressions of the store after the jump.
