The Weekly Event Guide

Prost

Yeay, the regular weekly event guide is back this week. Praise the bad weather! So, what do we have to offer this week? A Wood Wood super sale, a collage workshop, a hippie festival, another streetartist-gone-gallery and much more, all for your entertainment, right after the jump.

Monday

Wood Wood outlet opening postponed to Thursday

When was the last time you actually made a collage from old magazines? I guess for design students it has not been too long ago, but for me it’s probably more then 10 years now. DJ Joey Hansom is inviting everyone to the Magazine Surgery at the EtsyLab at Ritterstr. 12-14 from 18-21h. Have fun with the scissors!

Wednesday

The exhibition Lipstick & Icecream with photographs by Julia Luka Lila Nitzscke will open again for one night at Backyard, Gitschiner Str. 22 starting at 20h. The bar will be open as well and there will also be a little after party.

Thursday

Hipsters love it! The scandinavian cult label Wood Wood is opening a temporary outlet store here in Berlin at Rückerstr. 4 this Monday until the end of August. The store will be open from August 1 – 6, 2011 and after that every Thursday, Friday and Saturday of August from 12-19h. Go there early to get the good stuff!

Massive Summer Sale at Kater Holzig (re-incarnation of the infamous Bar 25) with labels such as A.D.Deertz, JULIAANDBEN, Dont Shoot The Messengers, Franzius, Reality Studio, Poti Poti, Butterfly Soulfire and Paula Immich, as well as the goods from XVII* dix-sept, Baerck, and Temporary Showroom. 14-24h at Michaelkirchstr. 22.

Streetart hero Prost is opening his solo show The Street Never Ends, The Art Never Dies at West Berlin Gallery, Brunnenstr. 56, at 18h. Expect a lot of cheaky smiley faces…

Friday

Hippies and optimists of Berlin, come together at the Zwischenraum Festival to party for a better tomorrow. For three days there will be theater performances, workshops, music, food and party. Read more about the concept and program of this festival here. It takes place from Friday 15h till Monday 12h at the ehemalige Brandweinmonopolverwaltung at Provinzstraße 40-44 near S-Bahn-Station Schönholz.

Saturday

Florian Reischauer, the photographer behind the popular and beloved Pieces of Berlin photo diary blog, is contributing to the exhibition Sehen Und Gesehen Werden (See and be seen) that opens at Galerie Bauchhund, Schudomastr. 38 at 19h.

Sunday

The Nowkoelln Flowmarkt has now also a little brother in Kreuzberg, that takes place for the second time already at the Prinzissinnengärten at Moritzplatz from 10-18h. The Kreuzboerg Flowmarkt offers second-hand clothes, food, drinks and selfmade-stuff for your fleamarket pleasure.
