This is the fall of club openings. After last months opening of Prince Charles and last weeks Gretchen and S.K. Robinson, this week the people who were and are responsible for Rio, Scala, Broken Hearts Club and King Size are opening their new club Flamingo at Monbijou Park. Excited!! Tuesday, Oct. 4

Yoga-fan Claudio recommends: Kino Babylon is screening the premiere of the documentary film Yogawoman about how Wester women have taken over Yoga in our Western world which is actually quite a male domain in its Indian origins. The screening will be followed by a symposium of leading yoga teachers. Starts at 20h, Rosa-Luxemburg-Str. 30.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

The young musicians of the Junge Sinfonie Berlin are playing a set of pieces by Alban Berg, Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner at Berliner Philharmonie, Herbert-von-Karajan-Straße 1, starting at 20h.

Thursday, Oct. 6

Ballhaus Ost at Pappelallee15 is premiering the bilingual performance Woman by performance group Institutet. Starts at 20h. Another performance on Friday, and next week from October 13-16.

The Jägermeister Wirthaustour is coming close to Berlin again! At the Wirtshaus am Monarchenhügel in Leipzig you’ll get Jägi in your throats and Kavinsky and Slagsmålsklubben in your ears. Win guestlist spaces here.

The guys of the Broken Hearts Club are opening a new club called Flamingo and the city is abuzz! The opening party is invite-only, but I’m sure some of you will manage to get in somehow 😉 On Friday and Saturday they have public parties on their official opening weekend. Kleine Präsidentenstrasse, S-Bahnboegen 157/158.

Friday, Oct. 7

Strychnin Gallery is opening their next group show titled Creature Feature with a lot of sculptures and models used in cinema and science fiction and special effects. Runs until Nov 12th, 2011. Opening starts at 19h. Boxhagener Str. 36.

Primitive London is a platform for designers based in Tokyo and London to exhibit their work in a creative and supportive space. From October 8-15, 2011, they will have a pop-up shop installations with their designers at Voo, Oranienstr. 24. Tonight is the big opening party starting at 20h.

Saturday, Oct. 8

Sale time: the fashion agency Label Agent is having a sale in their showroom at Lobeckstraße 30-35, Haus D, Raum 213, from 11-18h (cash only). The fashion store Wald at Alte Schönhauser 32c is having a garage sale from 11-20. And for the Neukölln hipsters we have a sample sale of several designers at S&YM, Mainzerstr. 58 (Neukölln).

New independant online mag Shambo is celebrating its launch with a party at Backyard, Gitschiner Str. 22., starting at midnight. DJs Hunee, Local Suicide, Engtanzkavalier.
