This week we are getting a bit of a rest of all those Berlin Something Weeks as we are right between the art week and the social media week. It’s definately more calm, but I’m glad, less to chose from sometimes is a blessing. This week we have some great exhibition opening, workshops, talks and of course parties! The weekly events right after the jump.

Tuesday, September 18

AKA Gallery at Pflügerstr. 6 is opening the photo exhibition Spuren und Seile by Byron Afshar starting at 19h.

Platoon Kunsthalle is hosting another Berlin Legends art talk, this time with author and director Jörg Buttgereit as a guest. Starts at 20h at Schönhauser Allee 9.

Mobile Kino is screening the music mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap from 1984 at Naherholung Sternchen at Berolina Str. 7 starting at 20:30h.

Wednesday, Septemper 19

Machine Drum are playing a secret gig at Backyard, Gitschiner Str. 22, supported by Lando Kal (Lazer Sword). Starts at 21h. Guestlist only. Rsvp here: sleepingislame@gmail.com.

AA Party at Auguststr. 2 with Ronique XXX (POSH!), Jackee Word, Hllywd and others. Starts at 22h.

Thursday, September 20

Artstars* is hosting the first Press Pass drink night for the newshawks and ink slingers of Berlin at Bruchberg, Okerstr. 5 starting at 22h.

Sampson and the Crystal Tits are hosting another Cherry-O-Kie Karaoke party at Südblock, Admiralstr. 1-2 starting at 22h.

Miami Horror is playing a DJ set at Flamingo tonight, starting at 22h. Kleine Präsidentenstr. 4a at Monbijouspark.

Friday, September 21

Strychnin Gallery is opening the exhibition Vanishing Folklores by artist Jon Jaylo at Boxhagener Str. 35, 19h.

Saturday, September 22

The Agora Collective at Mittelweg 50 started this week with a series of workshops of different kinds. Earlier this week they had a pattern making workshop, and today they host the one-day workshop Finding Your Inner Clown with artist and performer Harvey Rabbit. From 10-16h. Register by emailing: marcela@agoracollective.org. The next workshop takes place on Oct. 13+14 and is about learning how to work with Ableton Live.

S&yM is presenting Dan Bodan and Ballet School live as well as a DJ set by Tyler Pope from LCD Soundsystem at Südblock, Admiralstr. 1-2 at Kotti, starting at 22h.
