The weekend awaits you – fun parties, dancing to cool beats, a glass in your hand. We’re always looking forward to some exciting hours to get away from the daily working. But what about after the weekend starting the week with some gentle sounds and a small alternative program?

After a while we’re really in the mood to listen to some classical sounds and now we have the pleasure to share with you some great evenings at Konzerthaus Berlin. On the occasion of the Bach Marathon, taking place on November 28th, you have the chance to enjoy a warm-up with series of small pop- up concerts which take place from the 24th – November 27th. This is a beautiful and very special alternative to everything our city offers us in the field of all kinds of music. Get to know what is so special about it after the jump.

The special thing about it: you don’t know in advance where the concert is taking place within the building – every day the locations switch between the most mysterious rooms of the house – places that normally can’t be accessed by the public. This promises to be especially interesting: On the one hand you get the chance to get a glimpse behind the scenes and see how it really feels to be backstage, and on the other hand you can simply enjoy a mysterious atmosphere and roam in a labyrinthine complex that could refer to stories like the Phantom of the Opera. And that’s where you can enjoy the orchestra for less than an hour providing you with chamber music of Johann Sebastian Bach – a sound like balm for the soul.

The atmosphere promises to be unique because of the combination of a beautiful settings, talented musicians and a small group of listeners of no more than 30 people – that appears to be very promising for every age and interest group. For everyone who’s normally more into the sound of the clubs of Berlin the very short concerts are also a very good start into the world of classical music, showing the wide variety of opportunities to enjoy music in Berlin.

Following the warm-up you should definitely not miss the Bach Marathon on November 28th – on this day, you can expect a varied program. The highlights may be a sing-along concert and the musical Christmas market with delicious food and many gift ideas for the 1st Advent.

You can’t buy any tickets for the warm-up concerts in the secret backstage locations – if you wish to join them you have the chance to get on the guest list here – only till Sunday 18h!

We are also giving away 1 x 2 tickets for the big Bach Marathon on 28th of November. Just leave us a comment until Wednesday with a valid e-mail address in the form below so we can inform you in case of winning. If you can’t make it to the concerts you also have the opportunity to join the live- stream of this happening.
