Hey guys, did you know it’s Spring now? The sun is mostly shining, the streets are filling up, and everyone is looking pretty happy. There’s no better way to enjoy the season than to hop around town from one gallery to another, and this is the weekend to do it. Tons of galleries are opening interesting exhibitions with cool receptions to stand around at; there are lots of options, so you have no excuse: Get to a vernissage and mingle! Wondering what to see? Don’t worry – we got you covered. Here are our recommendations for Gallery Weekend Berlin 2016.

Adam Linder &  Shahryar Nashat

Schinkel Pavillon

Getting an early start on the weekend, the regal Schinkel Pavillon on Museum Island is entering a sort of hibernation for the summer as construction overtakes it, so this might be the last chance to visit this space for a while. The work on display is a bit unclear. The artists Adam Linder, Shahryar Nashat and Hannah Weinberger are involved, and some sort of performance. Mysterious!

Hans-Peter Feldmann

C/O Berlin

The sleek modernist institution has two exhibitions opening this weekend. Photos by Hans-Peter Feldmann, who apparently manipulates photos to look pretty cool. And then there’s something called Borrowed Light. This is a sort of conceptual show about photography, but we’re not sure if actual photographs will be displayed. This one is mysterious.
