Do you remember your first art class at school? Where you were allowed to play with watercolors for the first time and be fascinated by how the colors lose their saturation when you use more water? Now think about the whole experience with a glass of premium sparkling wine in your hand and with your best friends by your side. This is the moment you might wonder what kind of ‘results’ your art class would have brought to light back then under these circumstances :).
Once per year the premium sparkling wine Mumm Sekt releases a bottle set in collaboration with an artist. This year the collaboration is with famous fashion photographer Kristian Schuller. His design for the three different flavors of Mumm Sekt is the first time they take advantage of the medium of abstract photography. Read more about the collaboration here.
For this years Mumm Art Edition they started a collaboration with the ArtNight events. ArtNight is a painting workshop concept where you can meet up with friends and strangers and simply paint together with professional instructions by practicing artists in cool nightlife locations. It seems like a natural fit for the Mumm Art Edition, so they joined forces with ArtNight to create a special event with really exceptional drinks.
We had the pleasure of being invited to take pictures at this year’s Art Edition launch at Silent Green, one of the most exciting new venues in the district of Wedding. A really huge number of art-interested participants came around and had their paintbrush ready to strike. What we loved about it was the nice communal atmosphere and relaxed setting of the workshop. The whole event was not about who did the ‘best’ art piece but rather how we could have the most fun together.
And the cherry on the pie was the really fancy drinks that were served to the participants during the workshop. A true night of watercolor-fun and sparkling wine bubbles.
