The Most Unforgettable Party Nights in 15 Years of Berlin

The Most Unforgettable Party Nights in 15 Years of Berlin

A couple of weeks ago we gave you our first official Club Guide for Berlin with some of our favorite clubs and parties that we like to recommend as part of the AXE BLACK NIGHT campaign. In continuation of this collaboration we have now been asked by AXE to share our most memorable experiences in the Berlin nightlife, those parties, that took us by surprise and will remain in our memory forever. Of course living in Berlin for 15 years and having been to all the notable clubs and a lot of amazing parties and places of this period I have quite a few stories to tell and it was a little hard to narrow it down to only a few. Flipping through my huge catalog of party photos (believe it or not I have an archive that exceeds 18.000 photos) I took a trip down memory lane and collected some of my most special nightlife experiences that go all the way back to my first year in Berlin.

Mindpirates Art Porn Week – Let’s watch some Art Porn together

Mindpirates Art Porn Week – Let’s watch some Art Porn together

The Humping Pact

Berlin is the city of sex (mostly cheap and unaffectionate). Already discussed and explained in details here and here and here. So far nothing special about it. But can Berlin become the city of porn? Or maybe better: Can Berlin become the Art Porn Capital of the world? Why not thought curator Cy Iurinic and the Mindpirates inviting us to the Art Porn Week from today until Saturday (June 12-15). Next to several films, performances, workshops, discussions, readings and live music in order to interact with the audience in a pornographic art experience there will be installations throughout the Mindpirates Vereinsheim and Mindpirates Projektraum incorporating drawings, paintings, photography, video and sound. The goal is to seduce the audience to step out mere spectatorship and to engage in learning new ways of sexual understanding. Being open minded Lia and I will try to experience it as good as we can in the following days. Both of us have all ready watched and recommended good porn to our readers (here and here) and are looking forward to find new art porn pearls for future posts. After the jump you find an overview of the upcoming days and some pictures. I would recommend to go there with a new date: it’s the best way to find out if you are the right ones for each other from the beginning.

Cinéma de Mode: Possession

Cinéma de Mode: Possession

The latest episode of our Cinéma de Mode brings to you thrills and spills, with the sensational fashion film Possession by Berlin-based director Ralf Schmerberg, in collaboration with art space Mindpirates. Presented by avant-garde fashion label Moga E Mago Possession tells a modern horror story, where drugs, attraction and excess turns fatal. Highlight of the movie is an enchanting golden net dress that becomes a dangerous symbol of jealousy, envy and craving for two friends during a Berlin club night. Enjoy the breathtaking tale after the jump.

As companesation I will add a few more parties for the weekend into this guide and also add them during the week when more pops up on my horizon.
