My Roots, My Dream - My Life!

Yusk Imai

While we are visiting Japan, the Intoxicated Demon Gallery in Kreuzberg opens up an exhibition that looks a bit like it has a Japanese theme. But only at first site. Yusk Imai, the creator of those traditionally Japanese looking drawings, is actually from Brasil. He shares the exhibition with the American painter Loganic. More images and details after the jump.

Addicted to Details

Addicted to Details - Hombre

Hombre, more

Street art has become an important part of the art scene here in Europe. When you take a look around you will notice mostly stencils, glued on illustrations and paintings. I was all excited about the new exhibition that is going on there because it features Mateo, an artist that I own an original painting from, along with many other cool people. There were so many great paintings that I would have loved to take home, so it’s absolutely worth a visit if you like urban art and illustration. More samples after the jump.

The Postman is here!

Die Post ist da! - Intoxicated Demons Gallery

The new exhibition at the urban art gallery Intoxicated Demons is not really about mail, although the title might indicate just that. It is more an elaboration of the ideas of post-graffiti, post-folkart and post-illustration. From Friday on until end of May you can see the works of Morten Andersen, Michael Hyp and ARO at the gallery. Read on to learn more about the artists and see some more images.
