This week is all in the name of a bloody sacrifice! Karfreitag and Easter is coming up on the weekend, which means for us four work-free days (ideally, we know how that never really works out…). But before that we have movie screenings, free dinners, store openings, art exhibitions, magazine launches, naked performances and more, before everything culminates (ideally) in our annual iHeartBerlin Easter Special that we are doing with and at food gallery Merkezi. Check out the events after the jump.

The Weekend Party Guide (The Awakening)

OMG everybody is outside. Is it really only March? Let’s all go to a lake and the open air season has started too. Poor working people or even studying, what a waste of time!!! They’re all preparing their bycicles, the streets will be flooded once again with people who never really learned how to ride a bike. But in Berlin, they say, everything is possible. Iam a supporter of helmets, not the ones that make you look like the alien from the film Alien but a biker helmet or a snowboard helmet, what about that? No? Yeah, whateva. Parties from Thursday to Tuesday and how to win tickets after the jump:

The Weekly Art Guide

Boris Mikhailov “ohne Titel” (from the series “Case History”), 1997-1999, Sammlung Berlinische Galerie

Prostitution at Walter König, Pornography at KW, Pushy Kissers at Galerie Lüttgenmeijer – what the hell is going on? Beside all that filthy stuff, a great retrospective of Boris Mikhailov at Berlinische Galerie, loads of exciting artist talks and British conceptual art is to be expected in Berlin’s upcoming art week. Check it out after the jump…

The Weekend Party Guide (without Berlinale)

Dillon

Movies? Parties! This is where you can meet the stars, that couple with the most beautiful – of – all – but –  scarily skinny wife with the ageing bloke Brangelina, that old guy Antonio Banderas, the ever beautiful Salma Hayek and the vampire boy – they’re all here and they like to party too! You don’t care at all? Ja, me neither. No Berlinale parties in this guide, just pure Berlin fun after the jump:
