The reason I love this city so much, is that even if I feel sometimes like I know it all, it never stops to suprise me in a good way. Three weeks ago I passed by the Mindpirates with a couple of curious friends to see how their Cardboxfight was going to be. We became the spectator of a box war mankind never saw before. Soldiers with incredible armours stood in front of each other. Warriors with not only the power to impress but also the spirit to win gathered all together to fight inside of the Mindpirates courtyard. The winner was a girl with the perseverance of a pit bull and the strength of a tree. Even if the pictures after the jump may look brutal to you. The people were not fighting with anger and bloodthirst but with a happy smile. So much fun to watch! Thanks Berlin and the crazy but talented Mindpirates for such an amazing event.

This week everything seems to be back to normal in our weekly event guide. The summer is playing a nasty game with us, but what choice do we have other then making the best of it and hoping for some sunshine and less rain. Some highlights of this week are the concert of Hush Hush at the new club Chalet by the former Bar25 owners. The first Kiez Opera at Salon Zur Wilden Renate and the second Hipster Olympiade taking the crap out of some typical clichées about Berlin Hipsters. This coming week has a lot to offer for all the film fans amoungst you. There are screenings at Mindpirates and the Mobile Kino, the Achtung Berlin festival is premiering the new Berlin documentary Berlinized and the Designer Scouts are presenting their new fashion film. In addition we also have a theatre play at Kater Holzig, jewellery markets, concerts, parties and much more after the jump.
Alice in Wonderland is the perfect theme for an Easter party. I think no theme can take the rabbit more out of the cage and still be sexy and fun at the same time as the one the guys from Mindpirates choose. We had a great night in their Easter Catacombe. But we would have preferred a more eletronic music line up. I remembered the party two years ago and I think that it was way more fun dancing. Still enjoy the pictures of this incredible masquerade and beautitful bunnies we found there, right after the jump.
