While lately most of the events we had in our little Monday guide were art events, this week is pretty mixed with openings, fashion events, movies, parties, workshops, concerts and for the first time: a very special sports event… Learn more about it and all the other events after the jump.

Now that Fashion Week is history we can take a look at other things again! For instance: art. And there are a few things going on here toward the weekend. Take a look after the jump.

So what does this week have to offer? A big party on Monday with Jeans Team at Stattbad (finally something for this otherwise very calm weekday), concerts of Faithless and Kele, another big urban art festival and much more coming up after the jump.

Vogue Homme Japan has done, M.I.A. has done, and actually we have done it too a while back: The animated GIF – a supposedly extinct species that is celebrating its come back these days. I took the chance yesterday at the Crystal Castle DJ Gig at Stattbad to experiment a little more with this format with some very interesting results and present you now the first fully animated party photo set after the jump. Enjoy!

Last night the Stattbad Wedding celebrated its one year anniversary with a big event including exhibitions, performances, a BBQ, concerts and of course an after party that felt a lot like the great parties I had been to in the last year in late summer and fall. The concert of Barotti Island with its dry drowning performance was a lot of fun even though that naked golden dancer was kind of aggressive and kicking the audience around. See more impressions after the jump.

I guess you all have seen some of these long exposure light writing photos that you will find all over the internet. It’s so easy to do you would hardly call it art. But in the case of Miam you might want to reconsider. Those guys have brought the light writing to perfection creating 3dimensional graffitis of light into urban and industrial settings. I especially like their work with LED lights that are more graphical but also look a lot like brush strokes.
This Friday they will open their new exhibition at We Make Stuff Good, the indoor gallery at Stattbad Wedding. More of their work and details after the jump.

This coming Friday another big event is going to take place at Stattbad Wedding. A multitude of artists, performers and musicians will come together to celebrate the golden youth. While one will will color the old swimhall with a stream of spirited and uplifting images, the other will improvise some grass roots electronic music on self designed analog instruments. While one will present a glamorous Electro Pop Extravaganza, the other will do a dance performance interpreting the night’s theme La Jeunesse Doree. And there will be lots of DJs and live concerts. What more could you wish for? Details after the jump.
