Just recently we have been pointed to the fine music act called Bat For Lashes. What a strange band name. But the music is rather good! And we love their video for “What’s a girl to do”, check it out after the break. The music reminds me of many things: a bit of Black Cherry by Goldfrapp (not the dance tracks, though), a hint of Boys For Pele by Tori Amos, some smoke from The Reminder by Feist, some crazy vocals from Kate Bush, and finally a dash of strangeness from Björk- this seems to be their recipe.
