After 10 days of catwalks, showrooms, parties and trade shows the Berlin fashion week for the fall season of 2008 finally came to a close on Sunday. The most important part of the fashion week is the Premium exhibition, Berlins biggest fashion trade show. We dropped by on Sunday to take a look around and find out what expects us next fall…
This years special guest star was Diesel, a brand that hasn’t been on a trade show in Berlin for several years. The Italian fashion label used the Premium to launch their new luxury line Diesel Black Gold which will be only available in a few selected high end boutiques (think Mientus and Department Store in Quartier 206). The few pieces of the collection we saw reminded us a lot of the regular Diesel collections but with superior fabrics and a slightly more vanguard appeal. Diesel also used the chance to preview their fall collection which included some very nifty handbags and accessories.
Apart from Diesel there was an interesting mix of well known labels and upcoming designers – Puma, Guru, Selected, Amplified, French Connection and Filippa K being the more popular ones. In the next few days we will be introducing you to the most interesting designers and labels and their fall collections, which you can see linked below as soon as they are online. So this week it’s gonna be our fashion week here on iHeartBerlin.de!
