DMY 2008 - Breadedescalope: Original Stool

Breadedescalope: Original Stool

Today is the grand opening of the 6th annual DMY exhibition at the Arena in Treptow. DMY stands for Design May Youngsters, but this year they will expand their programm and include a selection of internationally renowned designers and turn their exhibition into a festival. So in addition to the Youngsters showcase at the Arena there will be numerous exhibitions with established designers in different locations. Of course a real festival also needs some fun time. That’s why they added some additional events to their schedule, including a show by Pecha Kucha tomorrow night at the Glashaus of the Arena, a Designer Dinner at the Radialsystem V on Friday, a Design Symposium on Saturday, also at the Radialsystem V, and a special interior design exhibition powered by Bombay Sapphire gin with designs from Tom Dixon and Werner Aisslinger at the temporary Bombay Sapphire Gallery at Karl-Marx-Allee. More infos after the jump.

Of course a festival also needs some parties. And those you will get on the Badeschiff on Friday, at Weekend on Saturday, at the Bar 25 on Sunday, at Cookies on Tuesday with a special performace party by ZENSORS, a Japanese performance group, at Club 103 next Friday, and the Secret Finale Party is going to be next week on Saturday at a location that is still to be announced.
