For this Fashion Week we managed to see much more than last time, although we haven’t even been here most of the time. On Friday we worked through a tight schedule including the trade shows Premium and Stark, and a fashion show by Smeilinener at Bebelplatz, before we left for the Melt! Festival in the evening. On Sunday iHeartBerlin.de stylist Julia went to another fashion show by Kilian Kerner for us. Read on for more insights and images.
Fashion Week Pavillion, Bebelplatz
The Smeilinener show was the first official show we ever saw at Fashion Week here in Berlin. You can read more about it and see a few photos later today. After that we drove to the Premium with the Mercedes Benz shuttle service, which was quite convenient.
Premium
We weren’t so over the moon about this season’s selection of labels and designers. There was some serious ugly going on at some of the stands. But still we saw some collections we liked. It was nice to catch up with LaClos Paris designer Manix Wong who was last season’s Young Designer Award winner and one of our favorites. He showed us his great new collection that was inspired by Morocco, cowboys and military. We also saw the new bags by Matt&Nat that were also amongst our top designs of last season. But none of the other designers we reviewed were there this time. So this season our selection of the best collections will be completely different.
Stark
After Premium we went to the Stark trade show at on old electrical station in Prenzlauer Berg. The location was pretty cool and the selection of designer made it worth going there. So this season there will also be some designers from Stark in our list of the best collections. Check back during the next few days to see detailed reviews of all the events and collection.
To read about the bigger shows and events during Fashion Week I recommend the reviews of our charming colleagues from LesMads and LaLila.
