Art for 100 Euros? Is this possible? For me the slogan sounded a little bit like the one euro shops that you can find everywhere selling useless bullshit. The art fair Art Essenz that will take place at the Sony Center from August 22 – 24 is not trying to be cheap at all. They want to connect with people who usually wouldn’t go to a gallery or to an art show. I highly appreciate the idea of creating an art space for people who don’t like the usual arrogance of the art scene and the overrated junk like this year’s Biennale. The entrance is free.
