After we are done with our Fashion Week runway coverage we will now lead over to the smaller designers who have not had the chance yet to present their work at Bebelplatz. Apart from the official shows the Fashion Week also offers designers some other ways to showcase their collections, such as showrooms and tradeshows. This season there was only one tradeshow, the Premium, but several showrooms, including the Temporary Showroom, projektGalerie, The Offer and many more.
We found Susana Alvarez, a young Berlin-based designer, at the Premium tradeshow. She was the last one we put on our list, and for me her collection was an instant favorite. Her designs have a very unique look to me, they are so different from everything else we’ve seen. Some of the details are quite playful, but she still manages to give her looks an overall classy and slick appearance. I also like the soft, thick and fury fabrics she uses which are perfect for the Winter season. More photos after the jump.
