Imagine you were free from all your feelings of shame and subordination. If you weren’t constantly afraid of what people might think of you or that some authority will punish you for your misbehavior. In 1994 the parasite Toxoplasma spread like an epidemic in a small city and infected most of the inhabitants. Apart from very light flue symptoms the parasite drove its hosts more and more insane and surpressed all his instincts of risk. Infected rats for example ran after cats and were eaten by them. This was a strategy of the parasite to continue spreading. The theatre ensemble Lunatiks Produktion made a play out of these true events which is shown right now at the Hebbel Theater. For more pictures and information about dates and location look after the parasite.
