Tomorrow the Ballhaus Ost shows once again the play Die Schule der Dummen which premiered at the Volksbuehne in the summer of 2007 and won last year’s audience award at the 100° festival. It’s based on a Russian novel from the 70s and tells the story of a group of students from a special needs school, whose only trusted person, their geography teacher, gets suspended for his unconventional methods.
I’ve seen the play both at the premiere and during the festival and was each time really impressed by the powerful performance of the young cast. So I’m really curious how the play and the actors have evolved since the last show. More infos after the jump.
The play is part of a small festival on that day, so the ticket is also valid for some other plays and events. Learn more.
