Be Kind, Rewind

videokills

I thought it would be quite appropriate to quote the title of one of my favourite movies for this post. We’re excited to announce an audio-visual extravaganza that hits play tomorrow. Videokills presents its first International Video Festival 2009 at our favourite swimming pool party haunt Stattbad Wedding. Fast forward for more details.

The VIDEOKILLS festival will showcase creative work from emerging international artists in the form of video art, experimental, VJ and live audiovisual performances. And as what any respectful video festival would have, there will be a Skype Symposium (a.k.a today’s sexier version of a video con), where you can log-in, dial-up and connect to video artists around the world.

There will also be (FREE!) workshops for a hands-on, up-close experience and of course no festival is complete without a closing party. We’ve listed the dates and details of the festival and V.I.D.E.O.P.A.R.T.Y below so you’ll know when to tune in.

But before we sign-out, come by to the Vimeo curated pre-party tomorrow at Stattbad Wedding from 8pm onwards. Billed as part of the Vimeo World Tour 2009, the evening will feature Vimeo Curated Showreel and live VJ and DJ acts. Whee!
