Saturday
Maximo Park, the romanic rocking gods of British Indie Pop are back in Berlin. Their third album “Quicken The Heart”, being not one inch less amazing than the other two, giving you can’t-get-out-of- your-head-for-days melodies like those of “Calm”and ” A Cloud of Mystery”. Tonight they are gonna play all these melodies at their concert in the Columbiahalle.
Do you remember Spiller with his song Groovejet featuring Sophie-Ellis Bextor? We met him yesterday at a party at the Department Store at Friedrichstrasse. He has formed a new label called Degustibus together with some other DJs and they will celebrate their label night at Tape this Saturday. The guys were so kind to give us some guestlist spots for you. So head over to the iHeartBerlin.de Facebook Group to get your hands on them. For those who are not on Facebook just leave a comment below.
You are a guest i.e. from Britain and don’t know where to go in the early evening hours since we Berliners go out so f..ing late? Go to Kunstnacht at Berlinische Galerie instead of becoming shamboed at Oranienburger Straße. Starting at 9 pm and 4 Euro entrance you can have a joyous night out with Paris Suit Yourself live and djs Emil Doesn’t drive and A-Team as well as Kolmer and Maxi Moritz at the mobile disco and get visualized by lovely Vj Safy Sniper. Don’t panic, they promised some art as well (Action Painting Club ad Topotek 1).
At Villa the fabulous POSH! The Prince gives a performance and at Weinbergweg 26 a new edition of Nightboutique, an extraordinary nightlife event for people who are interested in vintage shoes, clothes and accessories takes place. Fashion victims: Attention, please!
If you’ve been wondering who that georgeous girl on the picture above is-it is not going to remain a secret: Dj Sophie, former doorwoman, djane and model is playing at Picknick this Saturday night with a crazy program of her best 80ies, 90ies and music-of-today hits. This promises to become one of “those” nights when the trendy party crowd is starting to behave like the innocent teenagers they once used to be, snogging and screaming “She’s like the wind” Yeah, what a shame, Patrick Swayze died…!
2nd part of Rave culture at Maria, this night with MrNex and Mkone of Altern 8, Ac Slater, Hostage, Dj Donna Summer and Sly 1.
Monday
And if you guys are ready for a couple of drinks meaning a crisis-binge drinking on Monday you should go to Vis à Vis in Raumerstr. 15, Helmholtzplatz for Berlin Dehydration.
