Yesterday in Mitte summer hangout Weinbergspark the odd Nola cafe visitor, drug dealer and sun lover became witness of strange occurences taking place in the empty children’s swimming pool in the middle of the park. People wearing masks in horribly coloured clothing had a little party with techno music in the bright light of this sunny day. Read and see more after the jump:
Benny, a cute lad seemingly being the center of the girl’s attention eventually told me that this party was the last day of a weeklong school-is-out celebration with different dresscodes.
Since they weren’t allowed to hold this event inside the school (mean) they took over tourist hangout Weibergspark and managed to give the ordinary foreign visitor a slight impression of what was once the famous love parade. Mini-version though.
I instantly fell into a state of melancholy (end-of-school and love parade-feelings) but it almost killed me to hear that the dresscodes of the other days have been such hilarious ones as “emo” or “80s” but I wasn’t there to take pictures. Luckily I at least caught these rebellious kids with my camera.
