Frank, Suz and Gaga

So, last Tuesday the mega-hype that is going on amoungst most of my friends graced Berlin with her presence. I’m talking about no other than Lady Gaga off-of crazy popstar and style icon fame. It’s funny, everytime I speak about her with my father he looks at me in total disbelieve. There are just some things beyond his understanding, haha!

Of course I was the first one to buy a ticket for her show, not expecting that some more patient people would get tickets for a fourth of the price right in front of the concert. Damn! But what I saw was worth every penny. A mega show with the craziest stage, hottest dancers, cooles video projections and what not. Oh, and Lady Gaga was pretty cool, too. Not so much for her singing and dancing skills, but for the crazy shit she was saying in between the songs. And of course for her cheasy yet totally awesome songs! Haha, I am not ashamed to confess I like her music!

As Suz and I have featured POSH!, one of her dancers who lives in Berlin, on iHeartBerlin.de here many times, he was so kind to invite us to the private after show party at Lab.oratory, the sexclub at Berghain. We didn’t really know that we were both invited until we ran into each other at the party. But after the jump you can read more on the party from Suz…

On Facebook I got an invite of my old friend POSH the prince! who made it from a local performance act into Lady Gaga’s group of dancers. The message basically sad: come to Lab.oratory at Berghain. In big letters: no cameras, don’t post it on facebook, don’t bring friends. Don’t reply to this message. You are on the C-list. It starts at 11 pm. What did C-list mean, something like C-celebrity? Well, blogging doesn’t make you particularly famous, does it. Of course I only read the first part and replied immediately, sort of ‘why can’t I bring anyone?’

After a moment of shame I thought ‘Could this really mean an invite to Gaga’s afterparty? My Gaga? At the Laboratory? The place where the yellow parties take place? If you don’t know the meaning of a ‘yellow party’ you are certainly a very very innocent boy or girl. Congrats.

Going on my own to the lab? And what should I wear? Something glamorous? What if she won’t be there and it turns out to be something else with only a handful of people and me standing there like an idiot wearing a glittery gown? Call it a bad romance? Fortunately I’ve had a busy week and absolutely no time to think about it more than a minute, so I chose a short black 90s Gaultier sort of dress and a velvet cap and made my way to the dark catacombs of the Berghain, on my own, brr. There was a line, just a handful of people, Annemarie Eilfeld the Dsds-Pin Up-cheap-version, some German actor’s son. They weren’t on the list and not to happy about it. I was and therefore received mean glances from the Eilfeldt-children of actors-posse. Ha, I praised the C-list.

Inside it was full of people, mostly gays, wearing the most hilarious clothes and hats. During my search for familiar faces I landed in some kind of dark dead end when suddenly, through a hole in the wall, a blond haired torso leaned out to take a phone call. The torso belonged to a lady with glitter on her cheek. I smiled at her and she smiled back at me, a moment of her and me almost being alone in this blind alley (it was only her upper body part, the other half remained behind the hole).

I then went into the room where a bunch of people crowded around Lady Gaga, so keen to be next to her, to speak to her, like vampires willing to suck in the air of fame fo. I saw the hole in the wall and Gaga sitting next to it, it was her, the blonde who has leaned outside five minutes before. Yes, I have had my own very special moment with Gaga without having to fight the vampires. It made my night. My Gaga!
