When I went to my first Goa/Psytrance festival I’d never imagined myself sleeping in a tent for more than one night, being part of all that Hippie stuff. But it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life and since then you can find me dancing and camping at these kind of festivals on a regular basis. I now want to introduce you one of the best outdoor festivals near Berlin and it’s definitely not the Fusion, this one is called Antaris! More after the jump:
The Antaris-Project is a traditional Goa/Psytrance event that meanwhile takes place for the 16th time and as usual, not far from Berlin on a huge field. Literally ‘Ant-Aris’ means against war! Thousands of visitors from all over the world are celebrating every year peacefully in the middle of a fluorescent blacklight deco under the motto “Laugh and Dance” for friendship, peace and freedom.
But this four-day-event is more than just a party. It is a coming together of people and djs from all over the world, from Israel to Serbia to Japan, enjoying the phenomenal decoration, the little clothes-and-food market and the nearby lake. If you feel like you’ve seen it all, check this one, you will definitely not forget it!

There is a train from Berlin to Neustadt/Dosse (€ 9) and from there a private shuttle (small fee) to take you to the festival. Camping and parking is for free (even having the car next to your tent) and there are showers. You can bring your own food and drinks, I advice early coming. Tickets are 60,-/presale or 70,- for four days. Check the website for more information. It’s worth it!
