The Interactive Week

photo: Sascha Weidner

This week is one of those versatile affairs again. We have two very interesting photography exhibitions opening by Berlin-based talents Sascha Weidner and Maxime Ballesteros, and the rest of the week is dominated by very participative events: Sew a dress at a DIY party, climb into an interactive installation at an indie-game party, prepare an amazing dish at a cooking party, and make your own costume for a masked ball. This and much more after the jump.

Wednesday

A Maze, the festival and conference for independant game developer, are celebrating their closing party with a lot of interactive games and installations at HBC, Karl-Liebknecht-Str. 9, 20h.

Thursday

Stoffe Meyer and Etsy invite you to Taschen, Tanzen, Trinken – a DIY party at the Stoffemeyer Store at Brunnenstr. 165 starting at 19h. They are supplying drinks and sewing kits in limited quantities.

Berlin-based photographer Maxime Ballesteros is opening his solo show Une vieille maîtresse at Ninety Five Gallery at Torstr. 95, starting at 20h.

Friday

Cell63 Art Gallery is opening the solo show of illustrator Francesco D’Isa at Allerstr. 38 in Neukölln, starting at 19:30h. There will be performances at the opening and the exhibtion runs until June 25, 2011.

Photographer Sascha Weidner is opening his exhibition Seit Morgen at C/O starting at 19h at Oranienburgerstrasse 35/36. I met Sascha a  couple of times in the past and once on a rooftop in Kreuzberg I had the honor of taking a photo with his medium format analogue camera. I doubt that the shot I made will be in the exhibition of the 2010 winner of the Kunstpreis Berlin… Later that evening Maximilian Hecker will play live.

Saturday

Frozen Yogurt places are popping up all over the city these days. Efa’s Frozen Yogurt is opening today at 13h at Weinbergsweg 24. What sets Efa’s apart from the others? Its frozen yogurt is organic, low fat and free of refined sugar. Let’s have a taste…

The participative cooking club and party Auf Haxe is celebrating its first birthday at Brunnen 70. Read about their fun social cooking concept here and register for the anniversary event until May 5th. Happy cooking!

If you like to dress up as a phantasie creature, the you should definately get ready for the Zinnoberball, the popular masked ball of the UdK, Hardenbergstr. 33 at 22h.

Sunday

The Travelettes Fleamarket is taking place at Dr. Pong, Eberswalder Str. 21 from 10 to 18h.
