As long as I can think this bloody Fete De La Musique suffers of bad weather conditions. Mean, it is such a nice thing, free events with music outside, grr. Take a rain coat and enjoy what the Fete has to offer, that is, various locations offering a good programme without taking entry. But also the following days are full of nice events. Thursday
The Neurocomics open air is still running, until 10 pm, Schillingbrücke between Mitte and Kreuzberg!
Mixed Nuts – for assorted butts are offered at Monster Ronson’s Ichiban Karaoke with live act Eat Lipstick playing electro punk and a dj set by a guy called Rumpelstil. Than there is speed dating to get to known the other freaks at the party and date like crazy!
Friday
The Void Party, full of stylish boys and girls but dark in a way, takes place again, we are looking forward to that one at Backyard, Gitschinerstr. 22, U Prinzenstr, 23h. This time with Vosper, Kkoee, Ms Sunday Love and Sarah Adorable, the latter you know of the Blitz parties, and Black Özlem. You can watch soccer at Backyard before, free at 8 pm!
Saturday
Mitte Disco Number 1, a new party in Mitte based Flamingo with Ben Mono playing, Bonnie, Ponypop, Oliver Tabillion, Franz Underwear, Why, Alex, Why and Suz!
Greco Roman No 5 at Stattbad Wedding with Julio Bashmore, Jimmy Edgar Hackman, Ruede Hagelstein, Greco-Roman Soundsystem and Delfonic. As if this wasn’t enough there is an exhibition by Guillermo Aguilar-Huerta from Mexico who has been living and working in Berlin since 2007. The exhibition starts at 8 pm, the party at 11 pm in Gerichtstr., Wedding!
Box of Kittens Loftparty at Feed Soundspace, Hobrechtstrasse 65 (first door on the right in the back courtyard / top floor) with Jeremy P. Caulfield, Pan/Tone, Jeff Milligan and more. They have a smoke – free dancefloor!
Sunday
There are countless illegal open airs these days that are for free with bad sound systems but high fun factor, in old pools, under bridges or in a nearby forest. They sometimes last for hours, even days, sometimes only for 50 minutes because the police is a quick fellow. Just another one is Zurück zu den Wurzeln, claiming to work against door policies, dj culture, tourist – prices and so on. If you are party willing on a Sunday, why not have a look.
