The Berlin-based DJ duo Channel X has just released their second album on Stil vor Talent: Wonderland consists of 13 tracks and features collaborations with Niko Schwind, Natalie and Björn Störig. Stylistically, the album is more diverse than its predecessor X Files: You will find tracks like Scope that are typical for Channel X (and which in my opinion is a real hit), but there are also songs like Slowly falling leaf and Leaving that show a new layer of their musc. In our interview with Channel X, we have talked about music by The Doors, Johnny Cash, The Junkies and Cro. More after the jump.
The Doors – Love me two times
The Doors! What´s more to say to this band!? We love it! Especially Ray Manzarek playing on his Vox Continental organ – we´re crazy about it and he leads us to unknown spheres. Love me two times is no exception. As soon as the song starts, you just want to rock…
Johnny Cash – Hurt
Wow, a wonderful song that gets you thinking like not many artists do. The video picks up the subject perfectly and it invites the viewer to pause for a moment and realize what one has lost up until now. To us Johnny Cash is one of the most exceptional artists of the last century and he accompanies us very often on the iPhone.
The Junkies – Give it all
Awesome. If we want to party hard on the dancefloor this is our secret weapon at the moment. Pressure, pressure, pressure – what else do you need!? The song werq this by these boys is also very recommendable.
Channel X – Slowly Falling Leaf feat. Natalie
The first video from our second album Wonderland, that was released on the 24 September 2012 on the label Stil vor Talent. Mirko was so lucky to meet Nathalie during an afterhour in Switzerland. The two got along very well from the beginning and shortly afterwards this song came to life. The recording of the video took place in Berlin and we were mesmerized!
Cro – Du
Nice summer video but not our thing.
