Charity Children is the beautiful and moving tale of two New Zealand expats, Chloë Lewer and Elliott McKee, who fell in love making music together and decided to pursue their passion. Soon after moving to Germany two years ago and busking on the streets of Berlin, the lover’s duo has eventually become one of the most outstanding indie-folk music bands in Berlin, enchanting audiences with their intimate and heartfelt style, sophisticated and honest lyrics, and breathtaking vocals. As their story, their music is not ordinary, it is a purely progressive and distinctive street-folk sound, which is becoming day by day the soundtrack to the animated streets of Berlin. Their largely acclaimed debut single Elizabeth won Best Song at the Berlin Music Video Awards, thanks to its beautiful acoustic tune and to its emotional video showcasing how imagination can conquer rejection. On Thursday, July 11th 2013, the band’s highly anticipated album The Autumn Came will be released and celebrated with a show at Festsaal Kreuzberg. Their exceptional album represents a unique selection of songs written and performed over the lovers’ first summer in Berlin in collaboration with some of Berlin’s most exquisite session musicians.
