Cineastes should save the date of July 13th. Because the Berlin Film Society will present Alejandro Jodorowskys cult film Santa Sangre on the dreamlike grounds of Cabuwazi Circus near Ostbahnhof this upcoming Saturday. Guests can get in the surreal mood for the film with performances by ballet dancer Carina Howard and the graduating class of the Cabuwazi Circus school, which were created especially for this extravagant occasion. After the screening Mexican food will be served and DJs will keep you dancing at the big after show party until – at least – sunrise.

Santa Sagre is set in the world of a circus and tells tales of the travelling society, among them artists, performers, freaks and petty criminals. The ladder ones will hopefully not be there next Saturday, but the earlier will make it a night to remember for all visitors.
